The police operation codenamed "Package 5" against the trafficking of narcotics from the US through the mail is finalized.

They were caught by the police, as soon as they received a package containing 1 kg and 52 g of cannabis with a high percentage of THC, at a post office in Vora, 2 citizens were put in handcuffs. 

The package containing the narcotics is seized.

Following intensive police actions, with a focus on cracking down on cases of trafficking in the narcotic substance cannabis sativa with a high percentage of THC, from the USA, for the purpose of sale in our country, the Narcotics Investigation Section, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office and in cooperation with the Special Operations Force, the Rinas Police Commissariat and the Albanian Post Transit Center Branch, finalized the "Package 5" operation.

During the operation, citizens KQ, 24 years old, and DH, 22 years old, both residents of Tirana, were arrested in flagrante delicto.

They were caught red-handed immediately after receiving a package containing 1 kg and 52 grams of cannabis with a high THC percentage, trafficked from the US, for sale in Albania, at a post office in Vora.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
