For 5 months, the saga of events in the Dhëmbi family in neighborhood no.

Today, the minor daughter of the Dhëmbi family attempted to jump from the third floor of the building where she lives with her mother, two sisters, and a younger brother. At the scene, the minor was rescued by a resident of the neighborhood who happened to be there at the moment the minor was attempting to jump from the balcony.

This is not the first time for the 14-year-old, who on October 4, 2025, threw herself from the third-floor balcony, but fortunately did not suffer any injuries due to falling onto the terrace of a hut located below the building. Two days earlier, she tried to commit suicide again but was saved by the police.

What raises great concern about this case is the fact that the minor displays very aggressive behavior along with her two sisters, while according to information, they have been sent several times to the hospital in the capital for more specialized psychiatric help, but they have never accepted to receive the appropriate medication.

These successive events also raise questions about the way in which the competent institutions, in this case the municipality of Korça with the social service sector, have not taken the appropriate measures, leaving this family, and more specifically the 14-year-old minor girl and her two younger sisters, out of attention.

From what is learned from sources, it is known that the minor does not accept to live in the apartment where she lives with her mother and sisters, and has also shown serious signs of aggression towards her mother, towards the police as she does not want the latter to come near her, towards psychologists and sociologists, as well as towards the medical staff who were at the scene. /CNA
