One person seriously injured with hard objects/ Two people in handcuffs in

Two people have been arrested after seriously injuring a citizen by hitting him with hard objects.

Citizens IM, 45 years old, and BA, 38 years old, both residents of Kamëz, were arrested. According to police information, the 45-year-old had previously been convicted of illegal possession of weapons.

Police announcement:

Kamz/The codenamed "Double" operation is finalized.

They seriously injured a citizen by hitting him with hard objects, and the 2 wanted citizens were arrested and handcuffed.   

One of the detainees, previously convicted of illegal possession of weapons.     

Specialists of Police Station No. 5, based on the information provided on the location of the two wanted citizens, as a result of a well-organized work to locate and capture them, finalized the operation codenamed "Double".    

During the operation, the following citizens were arrested:     

-IM, 45 years old, resident of Kamza, previously convicted of illegal possession of a child;

-BA, 38 years old, resident of Kamëz.        

Following the procedural actions, the detention order issued by the Tirana Prosecutor's Office on 15.04.2026 was executed for these 2 citizens, for the criminal offense of "Intentional serious injury", committed in collaboration, as it is suspected that on 03.04.2025, they hit citizen AH with hard objects, for weak motives, causing serious injuries.        

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. / CNA
