Crime is prevented in Durrës/ Kalashnikov is seized

During patrols aimed at guaranteeing order and public safety, the General Patrol services of the Durrës Police Station have detected a conflict between several citizens, in the premises of a bar in neighborhood no. 13.

Immediately, within the coded police operation "Momentum", it was intervened in order to prevent the escalation of the conflict, as well as clarifying its circumstances.

From the checks, it was found that one of the citizens involved in the conflict, specifically the citizen GV, 35 years old, resident in neighborhood no. 13, Durrës, had a Kalashnikov firearm with him.

Police services neutralized and arrested the 35-year-old in the act, for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", as well as seizing his firearm.

The investigative group, led by the Prosecutor's Office, continues the investigations to document the cause and other circumstances of the conflict./ CNA
