Anti-drug operation/ 44 members of the network identified, 25 of them sentenced

After 5 months of investigations, the police have finalized the operation codenamed "Labyrinth" by hitting a drug distribution network.

44 members of the group have been identified, and 25 of them have been sentenced to prison.

Police say that 6 citizens have been arrested during the investigation. Meanwhile, work continues to arrest 13 other members of the group.

During the operation, 2 kg and 400 grams of Cocaine, 16 kg of suspected narcotic substance Resin (chocolate), 22 kg of Cannabis oil, a quantity of Cannabis, 1 firearm, 3 shotguns, 118,900 euros suspected of being stolen from a bank, hundreds of fireworks, cell phones and other illegal items were seized.

"As a result of intensive investigative work carried out over 5 months, the Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, has finalized the police operation codenamed "Labyrinth", to crack down on a network of drug sales. During the operation, the security measure "Arrest in prison" was executed for 25 citizens who were carrying out this criminal activity, specifically:

-KR, 29 years old; KB, 22 years old; FH, 33 years old; DS, 48 years old; AL, 22 years old; A. Rr., 52 years old; RL, 26 years old; OG, 36 years old; AC, 30 years old; KZ, 32 years old; AD, 23 years old; EZ, 26 years old; KB, 25 years old; FD, 42 years old; FM, 50 years old; KD (M.), 29 years old; BB, 18 years old; IP, 24 years old; AH, 31 years old; FM, 26 years old; RD, 25 years old; MM, 23 years old; LT, 18 years old; 2 minor citizens, respectively 16 and 17 years old.

During the physical search of these citizens and searches in their homes, the following were found and seized: 2 kg and 400 grams of the suspected narcotic substance Cocaine, 16 kg of the suspected narcotic substance Resin (chocolate), 22 kg of cannabis oil, a quantity of the suspected narcotic substance Cannabis, 121,200 euros (118,900 euros suspected of being stolen from the bank), 1 firearm, 3 shotguns, hundreds of fireworks, 28 cell phones, electronic scales and 4 vehicles.

During the operation, citizens DS, 21 years old, and H. Z, 18 years old, were also arrested for the criminal offenses of "Supporting the perpetrator of a crime" and "Opposing a public order police officer", as well as citizen SQ(Gj.), 30 years old, for the criminal offense of "Failing to report a crime".

During the investigation period, the following citizens were identified and arrested: AL, 25 years old; BA, 27 years old; RS, 27 years old; Sh. K., 61 years old; AN, 26 years old; and GP, 30 years old, and quantities of various narcotics, mainly cocaine, were seized.

"The other 13 citizens identified by the investigations as part of this network have been declared wanted. Work continues to capture them and fully document this criminal activity," the police announced./ CNA
