On a ship and by remote control/ How Albanian drug boss "Loli"

An article published by the renowned Italian newspaper "La Repubblica" has revealed a scheme used by an Albanian drug lord, known by the nickname "Loli", to transport over 200 kilograms of cocaine from Ecuador to Rome.

Article:

From Ecuador to Rome, passing through the port of Rotterdam, tons of cocaine arrived in the Italian capital hidden in the containers of large merchant ships. The multi-million dollar business was managed by an Albanian drug trafficker known by a nickname already familiar to the Regional Anti-Mafia Directorate: Loli. He is the central figure in the investigation carried out by the Guardia di Finanza, which led to eight preliminary prison sentences at the request of the Regional Anti-Mafia Directorate.

During the investigation, 210 kilograms of cocaine were sold and over 130 kilograms were seized, which also led to the discovery of a clandestine workshop where the trunks of cars destined for drug transport were modified after they arrived in Europe. The business reportedly exceeded one million euros.

And according to the prosecution, Loli coordinated the orders, arrivals and distribution from the Netherlands via secure communication channels and encrypted messaging systems: a remote control, but present at every stage of the supply chain, from South America to the neighborhoods on the outskirts of Rome - Borghesiana, Pigneto, Spinaceto, Torre Spaccata, Alessandrino, Tor de' Cenci, Finocchio, Capannelle and Tor Bella Monaca.

The Albanian drug baron was also mentioned by Fabrizio Capogna, a collaborator of the justice system who, thanks to Loli, had entered the circle of high-ranking wholesalers.
