A girl was kept locked in an apartment in Tirana/ Police arrest one of the

Tirana Police have arrested one of the perpetrators of the incident that occurred a few days ago in Tirana, where a girl was kept locked in an apartment against her will. Police announce that they have detained citizen EB, 36 years old, while work continues to arrest the rest of the people in collaboration with the 36-year-old.

Police Announcement:

One of the suspected perpetrators of the incident that occurred on 09.01.2025, in Astir, is arrested and detained.

As a result of intensive investigations, based on information obtained thanks to police intelligence, the Tirana DVP Structures arrested and detained citizen EB, 36 years old, resident of Tirana, with a previous criminal record.

This citizen was detained after, in collaboration with other wanted citizens, they kept the SQ citizen locked up in an apartment in Astir.

Work continues to capture other wanted citizens.

Also, investigations continue in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, for the full legal documentation of the event and the identification of other persons who may have been involved.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana for further action. /CNA
