Action in Shkodra/ Couple kept weapons and grenades in apartment, 44-year-old

A police operation codenamed "Dusk" was carried out today in Shkodra to prevent, detect and crack down on illegalities.

A 44-year-old woman was arrested in flagrante delicto and her husband was declared wanted, after they were found to be carrying: 5 grenades, 5 grenade detonators, 1 pneumatic weapon, weapon parts and combat ammunition in their apartment.

The 44-year-old's father is being prosecuted for keeping a shotgun in his apartment.

Also, items that were illegally possessed were seized.

 "As a result of the administration of information provided by police intelligence, regarding a case of possession of several items, in violation of the law, the services of the Shkodra Police Commissariat organized the police operation codenamed "Dusk".

As part of this operation, a search was conducted in the apartment of citizens EP and DH (spouses), where 5 grenades, 5 grenade launchers, 1 pneumatic weapon, weapon parts and combat ammunition were found. A search was also conducted in the apartment of citizen Xh. P. (father of citizen EP), where a single shotgun was found.

 "Following the actions in this case:

-Citizen EP, 44 years old, resident of the village of Shtoj i Vjetër, was arrested in flagrante delicto;

-the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office where proceedings were initiated in the absence of the citizen Xh. P., 72 years old, resident of the village of Shtoj i Vjetër;

- citizen DH, 49 years old, resident of the village of Shtoj i Vjetër, was declared wanted. Work to capture him continues", the police announced./ CNA
