The body of a 63-year-old man with the initials EK, who was suspected of falling into the waters of the Vjosa River while fishing with a friend, has been found a week later. The victim's body was found in the lands of the village of Kafaraj, and it was suspected that he suffered a heart attack.

Following the information provided on 18.01.2025, regarding citizen EK, 63 years old, who lost contact with his friends, with whom he had gone fishing on the Vjosa River, on 16.01.2025, we inform you that:

As a result of the continuous searches carried out during these days, in the territory of the village of Kashishtë, in the surrounding area and in the waters of the Vjosa River, by the Fier Police services and RENEA divers, today, the lifeless body of citizen EK was found, in a place called "Bunac", in the village of Kafaraj.

A preliminary examination of the 63-year-old's body revealed no signs of violence.

The investigative group, led by the Fier Prosecutor's Office, continues its investigations to clarify the circumstances of the case. /CNA
