Smuggled 240 bottles of wine/ 48-year-old man in handcuffs at the Port of Durres

A 48-year-old man has been arrested for smuggling goods after hiding 240 bottles of wine in the truck he was driving.

Citizen A.Gj. was arrested at the entry-exit point at the Port of Durres.

During the operation, the truck where the goods were hidden was seized.

As a result of the detailed checks carried out on citizens and the vehicles with which they move when entering/exiting the country, the Border Police services of BCP Port, Durrës:

arrested at the entrance to Albania, citizen A. Gj., 48 years old, resident of Durrës, after it was found that he had hidden 240 bottles of wine in the truck he was driving, suspected of smuggling;

During the operation, the truck where the goods were hidden was seized.

The procedural materials were referred to the Durrës Prosecutor 's Office for further action./CNA
