Wanted for drug trafficking/ The head of the "Farruku" clan surrenders

Kreshnik Farruku, known as the head of the "Farruku" clan, has surrendered to the police. Farruku is wanted for drug trafficking. He is expected to be extradited by Italian justice soon.

In December of last year, Kreshnik Budlla alias Farruku had 27 suspected assets seized from criminal activity together with Erneo Farruku.

"The applicant, the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, on 28.01.2021 submitted to the Court the request with the object: "Confiscation of assets owned by subjects Kreshnik Budlla, Erneo Farruku, persons related to them and third parties", the basis legal Normative Act no. 1, dated 31.01.2020 "Preventive measures within the framework of strengthening the fight against terrorism, organized crime, serious crimes and the consolidation of public security order", (amended by normative act no. 35, dated 16.12.2020), approved with the law no. 18/2020, dated 5.3.2020.

2. At the end of the trial, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime with a panel composed of judge Etleva Deda, based on articles 16, 23 and 24 of normative act no. 1, dated 31.01.2020 "On preventive measures within the framework of strengthening the fight against terrorism, organized crime, serious crimes and the consolidation of public security order", as well as in Articles 306 and following of the Code of Civil Procedure, with the decision No. 1, dated 16.12.2024, decided: Confiscation of assets seized by Decision no. 148, dated 29.09.2020, of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime", the announcement states./ CNA
