Accident in Tirana/ The driver collides with the policeman, punches him

On 05.12.2024, on "Myslym Keta" street, the vehicle driven by the citizen F. Gj. was involved in a collision with the vehicle driven by the citizen RM, and then the citizen F. Gj. has left the scene.

After the traffic patrol arrived at the scene and made contact with the RM citizen, he returned to the scene and the citizen F. Gj. together with the vehicle involved in the accident and started an argument with the driver of the vehicle.

The Police Services have intervened to calm the situation, but during the intervention, the citizen F. Gj. started insulting the police officers, and during the attempt to neutralize him, the citizen F. Gj. disobeyed orders and punched a police officer.

Then the driver of the vehicle, citizen F. Gj., was accompanied to the police station where he was tested for alcohol, which resulted in:

       • First test: 0.82 mg/l

       • Second test: 0.66 mg/l

       • The third test: 0.71 mg/l.

Following the actions, he was arrested for the criminal offenses "Assaults due to duty", "Threatening due to duty", and "Driving vehicles in an irregular manner".

The Police employee, as a result of the injuries received from the blows of the citizen F. GJ. is in regime with a 10-day medical report./ CNA
