The security expert, Faik Basha, raised the alarm about the illegal activity of prostitution and escorts in Tirana.

Basha said in a TV appearance that members of criminal groups and traffickers are bringing girls from different countries of the world to Albania, which they use for prostitution.

According to him, in Tirana you can find 1500 girls who perform these services.

"A growing activity of escorts in Europe has flourished for a long time, but with the increase in tourists, criminal groups take advantage of the opportunities and create prostitution networks. It is the same lines with people who organize criminal activities such as drug trafficking, weapons and prostitution that bring staggering profits.

It is among the most profitable activities in the world. In the 90s, they started with the export of women and have maintained this activity by developing it in Albania. There have been cases where law enforcement structures have conducted investigations and arrested some, but if you look at the number of girls who carry out this activity or the groups that manage them.

With a simple search, you can see on various websites in Tirana alone these days 600-700 girls in the summer in coastal countries and the same in Tirana and major cities.
