The husband of the Italian MEP is killed

Angelo Onorato, husband of Christian Democrat MEP Francesca Donato, was found dead in Palermo in his car.

The first reports were that the murder was committed with a firearm, but according to the Italian media, investigators found the victim with a rope tied around his neck, raising suspicions that he was drowned.

The back door of the car was open, while the victim was sitting in the driver's seat. There were no signs of gunshot wounds on the body. 

It was his wife, MEP Francesca Donato, who raised the alarm that she had not received any news from him since noon where the entrepreneur had a meeting with a person and near Via Ugo La Malfa where the place chosen to talk was.

Angelo Onorato after supporting his wife, Francesca Donato, in the electoral campaign five years ago for the European elections, attempted a political adventure two years ago where he ran in the regional elections in Sicily receiving 846 votes and ranking eleventh among sixteen in list.

After failing to enter the Sicilian Assembly, Onorato resumed his activity as an entrepreneur in the construction sector.
