The wave of bad weather continues in Italy / Streets and houses are flooded in several regions

Italy continues to be hit by a strong wave of bad weather, which has caused major problems in the Lombardy region.

This morning, a heavy downpour hit the island of Ischia, just off Naples. Streets and single-story houses were flooded, while dozens of citizens called the Fire Department.

In Liguria, a region with the capital Genoa, the areas of La Spezia and San Terenzo di Lerici were flooded due to heavy rainfall.

In Tuscany, central Italy, the rain caused a torrential downpour in the Grosseto region and traffic on regional roads was disrupted.

Finally, outside Turin, firefighters and divers are continuing their efforts to find a foreign tourist who was swept away by the waters in the Spinio Monferrato area yesterday afternoon. /CNA
