Trump addresses the nation: Iranian missiles could soon hit the US

US President Donald Trump spoke for about 1 hour and 40 minutes, breaking his own record for the longest State of the Union address.

Trump focused on his administration's economic policies and immigration enforcement, amid tense exchanges between the president and Democratic lawmakers.

Trump said that Iranian missiles could soon hit the US and that a government report estimates this could happen as early as 2035.

Iran has assets in space that could be used to have an intercontinental ballistic missile that reaches the US by 2035, according to a recent report by the Defense Intelligence Agency.

The DIA says in the report that Iran could have 60 intercontinental ballistic missiles that can reach any part of the US mainland by 2035, if Tehran decides to pursue this capability. /CNA
