Powerful storm in the USA/ Reported for at least 7 victims

A major storm that produced powerful winds and tornadoes swept across the southern United States, killing at least seven people in Georgia and Alabama.

Material damage has been reported in these two American states.

Authorities said later on Friday they may have a clearer picture of the extent of damage caused by the storm and that there may be more casualties as weather conditions are expected to improve.

The massive storm hit Thursday night and tens of thousands of Americans were without power in Georgia and Alabama.
