Serbian army training near the border / Kurti calls on internationals: Open

Prime Minister Albin Kurti has condemned the Serbian army's exercises with helicopters and paratroopers near the border with Kosovo, describing them as dangerous displays of aggression.

At the fifth government meeting, Kurti said that the unit that was training near Kosovo is the same one that trained former criminal Milan Radoi?i?.

 He added that such actions, especially in areas inhabited by Albanians in the municipality of Bujanovac, constitute pressure and attempt to intimidate residents.

Kurti also accused Serbia of using the army as a tool of blackmail in the Balkan region, also mentioning the purchase of missiles from China.

He called for resistance to provocations and urged the international community to take measures against Serbia.

"We are deeply concerned about Serbia's unjustified military demonstration, with helicopters and paratroopers in areas inhabited by Albanians in the municipality of Bujanovac, very close to the border with the Republic of Kosovo. Such a display of military force over homes, schools, medical centers, constitutes not only pressure, incitement of tension and an attempt to intimidate the residents there, who have been facing administrative ethnic cleansing by the autocratic regime in Serbia for years, but also shows an open provocation towards our independent state," he said./ CNA
