The situation in Russia, Blinken talks with G7 ministers

The recent situation in Russia has prompted the reaction of American and European officials.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said through a notification on the Twitter network that he had talked with the foreign ministers of the G7 and the foreign ministers of the European Union about the situation in Russia.

"The United States will coordinate closely with allies and partners in monitoring the situation," Mr. Blinken wrote on Twitter.

The BBC network announced the meeting of the British government's emergency committee, known as Cobra, to discuss the situation in Russia.

On Saturday, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said during an interview with the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg that he would talk to all allies, while calling on all parties involved in the conflict in Russia to avoid harming the civilian population.

Also, the spokesman of the German foreign ministry announced that "Minister Annalena Baerbock discussed the situation with the G7 counterparts", and that a meeting of the crisis management team in the German government has been called.
