Russian drone explosions/20 injured in Kiev, attacks in 3 neighborhoods

Russia launched an overnight drone and missile attack on Ukraine, injuring more than 20 people and damaging residential buildings in Kiev.

According to the head of the local military command, Timur Tkachenko, offensive drones and ballistic missiles targeted the Ukrainian capital.

Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the attack hit three neighborhoods.  

More than 500 homes were left without heat after the attacks and 19 buildings were damaged.

The attacks come hours before US-Ukraine talks aimed at ending the war were set to resume in Switzerland.

Envoys from Ukraine and the United States will meet in Geneva on Thursday to work on developing new trilateral talks with Russia aimed at ending the war, which has entered its fifth year./CNA
