Shefi i spiunazhit britanik: Putin nuk do paqe

Richard Moore, kreu i Shërbimit Sekret të Inteligjencës (MI6) të Mbretërisë së Bashkuar, ka paralajmëruar se s’ ka "absolutisht asnjë provë" që Presidenti rus Vladimir Putin dëshiron të negociojë një marrëveshje paqeje në Ukrainë.

Duke folur në konsullatën britanike në Stamboll, Moore tha se nuk kishte shenja që udhëheqësi rus dëshiron të zgjidhë konfliktin, ndërsa ai kërkon të "imponojë vullnetin e tij perandorak me të gjitha mjetet që ka në dispozicion".

"Por ai nuk mund të ketë sukses", tha Moore. "Thjesht, Putin ka kafshuar më shumë sesa mund të përtypë. Ai mendoi se do të fitonte një fitore të lehtë. Por ai, dhe shumë të tjerë, i nënvlerësuan ukrainasit".

Në fjalimin e tij të fundit, Moore, i cili do të japë dorëheqjen në shtator pas pesë vitesh në këtë rol, tha gjithashtu se presidenti rus po "na shtyn" mes përpjekjeve të lëkundura për të ndërmjetësuar një armëpushim./ CNA
