"The Guardian" has dedicated a long article to the election of the new president of Argentina, Javier Milei, building an unauthorized profile of him.

In the article about Milei, it is said that friends and enemies of the president compare him to his right-wing populist colleagues like Donald Trump or Jair Bolsonaro. Others have considered the unkempt-haired economist to be a mix of Boris Johnson and the killer "Chucky" doll.

An unauthorized biography of Miley, who on Sunday defeated his Peronist rival in Argentina's most important election in decades, describes him as an eccentric loner who suffered a childhood of parental abuse and school bullying during the 1980s when he was also given the nickname "El Loco" (The Crazy One).

" More than Miley's ideas, what worries me is his state of mind and emotional stability,"  says the author of the book, Juan Luis González.

As a music lover, Miley was the lead singer of a Rolling Stones cover band called Everest, but according to Lemoine he also likes Bob Marley as well as Verdi.

"He loves opera. He sings opera. He's not very good, but don't tell him I said that,"  she says.

Milei was more successful as a media personality, finding fame as an economics expert on Argentine television shows where he talked about the woes of inflation but also the virtues of tantric sex.

" Each person has his own dynamics. In my particular case, I ejaculate every three months"  - Milei once boasted on air.

Such statements and Miley's penchant for garnering attention with dirty words made her a household name and helped launch her into a career in politics about 5 years ago.

The economist was elected to congress in 2021 for his Libertad Avanza (Freedom Advances) party and entered the presidential race amid voter anger over the country's corruption and mismanagement, which they blame for Argentina's worst economic crisis in decades. .

"The vote for him represents a desperate attempt for something new, whatever happens,"  said Benjamin Gedan, an Argentine specialist from the "Wilson" center.

Gedan believes there will be "a lot of consumer remorse in Argentina" if Milei were to follow even a fraction of his ideas.

These ideas include legalizing the sale of human organs, dramatically reducing social spending, downplaying the crimes of Argentina's 1976-83 dictatorship, and cutting ties with Argentina's two most important trading partners, Brazil and China.

During the campaign, Milei pledged to dissolve Argentina's Central Bank and dollarize the economy.

He appeared with a chainsaw meant to symbolize the tough cuts he believes will help stabilize the economy and "exterminate" rampant inflation.

Miley's biography indicates that some of those ideas may have come from his 5 cloned mastiff dogs, which he named after economists such as Murray Rothbard or Robert Lucas.

"They are 2 meters tall, weigh like 100 kg... He calls them his 4-legged children ," says Lemoine, laughing at claims that the future leader of Argentina receives political advice from those animals.

Many experts believe that Milei will be forced to moderate after taking office next month and that he will struggle to implement his most controversial proposals.

Mile's party controls only 38 of 257 seats in Argentina's lower house and only 8 of 72 in the senate./ CNA
