78% of votes counted in Kosovo/ Ballot boxes still open for MPs and political

So far, about 78 percent of the votes for candidates for deputies and political entities in Kosovo have been counted. This was announced by the spokesperson of the CEC in Kosovo, Valmir Elezi.

Elezi said that since February 9, when the vote counting began, around 28,099 ballot boxes have been subjected to this process, of which 26,013 were approved, while another 2,000 were rejected.

"Regarding the counting of votes for candidates for deputies and verification of the results of political entities from the forms completed at polling stations at the Municipal Counting Centers, I inform you that as of February 18 at 4:00 PM, about 78 percent of polling stations or about 1,970 out of two thousand 533 have been counted. I would like to inform you that the process of evaluating ballot packages from voting outside Kosovo, respectively from voting by mail, is continuing since February 9, when the evaluation or verification of ballot packages from voting outside Kosovo began. So far, as of February 18, about 28,099 packages have been subjected to this process, of which 26,013 have been approved, while two thousand 57 have been rejected. The reason why these postal deliveries were rejected is that they were sent by persons who were canceled during the registration as voters outside Kosovo, are missing their registration receipt, or have been sent more than once," said Elezi.

Elezi said that this vote counting process will be completed within a few days./CNA
