Kurti meets with EC President Antonio Costa/ Talks are underway

The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, received today the President of the European Council, António Costa, in a meeting, as part of his visit to Kosovo, two days before the European Union-Western Balkans Summit, in Tivat.

During the meeting, Kurti thanked the President of the EC for the contribution of the European Union as the largest donor in the development and construction of Kosovo.

The Prime Minister also emphasized that Kosovo has made significant progress in reforms, democracy and economy, with improvements in the rule of law, the fight against corruption, media freedom and electoral and liberal democracy, as well as with sustainable economic growth, among the fastest in the region.

He assessed that the European Union remains Kosovo's main development partner. The meeting discussed cooperation with European Union institutions, security and the importance of good neighborliness in the function of regional cooperation. This was Antonio Costa's second visit to Pristina, after the one he made in May last year. /CNA
