Xhamia Yeni, në Selanik të Greqisë është rihapur pas 102 vjetësh. Kjo xhami u hap pikërisht në ditëne Fitër Bajramit, në mbyllje të muajit të shenjtë të Ramazanit.
Që në orët e para të mëngjesit, turma besimtarësh shkuan të falur namazin, ndërkohë që masat e policisë rreth zonës u shtruan, ku u vendosë efektivë policie.
Vendimi u mor nga Sekretariati i Përgjithshëm për Çështjet Fetare dhe falja e parë filloi në orën 7:30, me prirje nga Imami egjiptian Taha Abd El-Galil, shtetas grek dhe anëtar i komitetit fetar të xhamisë islame në Athinë.
Më herët xhamia ishte përdorur si hapësirë ??ekspozite e Galerisë së Arteve komunale./CNA
