100th anniversary of the creation of the BoA/ Sejko: Our teams have discovered

Within the framework of the 100th anniversary of its establishment, the V Conference of the Museum of the Bank of Albania "Central Banks and Economic History: Reflections and Perspectives" was held.

Also present at the conference was the Governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko, who expressed his gratitude for researchers such as Kristo Frashëri or Dhimitër Pasko.

Sejko further said that ABA teams have uncovered political decisions or internal discussions of the ABA regarding economic history, which are found in contemporary publications.

 

“ BoA responsibly maintains price stability. Through every transition, the Bank has shown stability, always with the aim of contributing in difficult times. Grateful to the researchers who have worked to document this journey such as Dhimitër Pasko, Iljaz Fishta or Kristo Frashëri. Our teams have uncovered internal discussions, political decisions that still remain in archives or scattered in publications of the time. Understanding the past strengthens future decisions. BoA plays an important role in the integration process. Our commitment remains unwavering to deepen institutional cooperation and for Albania's financial system to be prepared to face challenges. The coming decades will require skill and close cooperation with international partners. Conferences like these exchange perspectives on how financial institutions evolve. They also aim to pose the right questions for the future ”, said Sejko./ CNA
