The students of the "Veterinary Medicine" branch at the Agricultural University of Tirana complain on the show Fiksi Fare that the VKM will not apply to them for priority branches.

They showed in a message for the investigative show that they were informed by the faculty secretariat that the salary of 400,000 lek (old) that was approved by the Ministry of Education for all priority branches has changed, so only students will receive this payment with an average above 9.5

The former Kushi Ministry in June 2023 in a statement to the media said that the VKM has been approved that removes the average for students of priority branches, so all those who will choose veterinary medicine, agriculture, etc. will receive 400 thousand lek per month regardless of the average , even this payment will continue for 3 years even if the average of the second year will be lower than the first.

The students told the journalists that it is impossible for them to say their problem publicly because they are afraid. But since they received the notification from the faculty secretariat, even a student says that on January 8 they will protest about this problem.

The journalists received an answer at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the administrator Valbona Shehu indicated that they are not aware of this problem, as they have not informed the students about such a change.

She says that the students have filled out the form and we are waiting. "We have explained to all the students in the lecture halls, we have not given any information that the average will be the criterion, we are waiting for the application forms to arrive and to pass the payments", says Shehu.
