Prime Minister Edi Rama declared on Platform X that the building that burned down yesterday in Tirana will be rebuilt 100% by the builder himself.

According to Rama, people who have suffered damage to their property and, on the other hand, taxpayers cannot pay for damage that should have been covered by insurance.

The Prime Minister emphasizes that this is a meaningful occasion for everyone to understand that home insurance against disasters is essential.

"The palace that burned down yesterday in Tirana will be rebuilt 100% by the builder himself, despite the fact that according to preliminary data the cause of the fire has nothing to do with the construction itself! Because we cannot leave the damaged people alone in their property and on the other hand, taxpayers cannot pay for a damage that should have been paid by insurance - a meaningful case for everyone to understand that home insurance against disasters is necessary. However, I tell all the damaged families to feel calm on this side and I wish them only health, thanking from the bottom of my heart the firefighters and law enforcement for the heroic work in saving all the endangered lives", writes Rama./ CNA
