The Prefect of Tirana, Shkëlqim Hajdari, arrived in a few minutes in the area in front of "Pharmacy 10", where a residential complex has been under fire since the afternoon hours. 

Hajdari said in a statement to the media that the institution he heads has taken all measures through emergency forces to bring the flames under control, while emphasizing that once this operation is completed, all investigative procedures will begin.

"For 4 hours, the Prefecture has taken measures for all forces in this emergency case. I thank the firefighters, the emergency forces, the Armed Forces, the volunteer forces, RENEA. We are happy that we have no victims. We have injured people with non-serious burns, while several residents who are unable to be evacuated from a health point of view. 10 minutes ago, a person who was sleeping was evacuated, an elderly person, thanks to the heroism of our forces. We will continue the search inside.

We are Albanians, we have aunts, uncles, close cousins. We are ready. I will not go into politics. The state is here. We owe a lot to the firefighters. I think we will continue to watch this event tonight. Which is difficult. I think we have done our best. The other problems, let's finish tonight.

"As soon as we finish the operation, the prosecution has been notified of the investigative actions with criminal experts, firefighters and forensic medicine. Let's take things one step at a time.
