Delays in audit processes/ Shehu: Depends on the types of audits and the terrain

The Chairman of the Albanian Supreme Audit Institution, Arben Shehu, spoke about the delays in audit processes. Shehu said that the delays in these processes occur because audits differ from each other due to the terrain and type.

"Referring to the treatment by Mr. Braçe of a concern addressed to both committees by employees or former employees of the SAI regarding delays in audit processes. Audit processes have a defined deadline from one phase to the next. One audit is not like another due to the type and terrain.

Audit work focuses on the work processes of individuals who are human and we are obliged to respect human principles. Every audit process has a final decision-making that is concretized with recommendations and criminal proceedings. We are obliged to follow every need that the staff has based on an analysis," said Shehu. /CNA
