"Cooperation between justice institutions is catastrophic", Gjoni:

Democratic Party MP, Gjin Gjoni, spoke this morning about the justice system in Albania and its functioning. Invited to "Kafe Shqeto" with Flavio Qarri, Gjoni said today that people's frustration comes from the excessive length of decisions.

During his speech, he stated that the way independent justice institutions cooperate today is catastrophic. According to the MP, this only happens because the leaders of the institutions have conflicts with each other.

"I say that one of the main obstacles and people are frustrated by the excessive delay in issuing decisions. According to ILD, it turns out that there are files that have not been reviewed for 4 years. In this regard, people's frustration and perception of justice is increasing day by day. If only SPAK were created and the rest remained as it was, everything would be resolved faster."

Today, the creation of so many mechanisms, KLGJ, ILD, KLP and others and the way they function with each other is catastrophic. I am bringing some examples. In the meeting of the Supreme Court, the KLGJ is not invited at all. Lawyers are considered foreign meat in the system, while they are just as important as prosecutors. The director of the Magistrates' School is not invited to the oath of new magistrates. Because there is a conflict between Ben Rakipi, Sokol Sadushi, Ilir Rus. Nothing works. Each of them wants to be God. The Prosecutor General with catastrophic constitutional powers, is simply a building administrator, only issues orders and determines the budget of the Prosecutor's Office, he is simply a manager. The hierarchy is lost," said the MP. /CNA
