The police are acting with an iron fist against people who have caused fires.

Berat police have arrested 4 people who set fires in the "Uznovë" neighborhood and in the villages of Osmëzezë and Drenovicë.

As a result of the fires, homes and greenhouses were endangered, and land and fruit trees were burned.

"The services of the Berat Police Commissariat arrested the following citizens:

-Sh. D., 49 years old, resident of the "Uznovë" neighborhood, suspected of having started a fire in this neighborhood, which resulted in homes being endangered and a piece of land being burned;

-ZM, 56 years old, resident of the village of Osmëzezë, suspected of having started a fire on his land in this village, which as a result burned land and fruit trees owned by 2 citizens.

"The Dimal Police Station services arrested citizens SM, 53 years old, and LB, 56 years old, both residents of the village of Samatic, after they are suspected of starting fires in the village of Drenovicë, where olive trees were burned, and several greenhouses were at risk of burning," the police announced./ CNA
