Fires in Shkodra region/ Homes out of danger, situation under monitoring

Today, in the territory of the Fushë-Arrëz Municipality, the fire situation in the village of Xath has appeared calmer, compared to the intensity of the previous days. Currently, the homes are out of danger, while work continues on the ground to completely extinguish the flames.

The forces involved are:

50 army forces with 2 fire engines;

15 MZSH officers with 2 fire engines and 2 water tanks;

18 forest service inspectors;

30 people from the administration, services and administrative units of Blerim and Qafë-Mali.

The operation is being carried out with the support of the State Police and AKMC representatives, aiming to bring under control and extinguish every active outbreak. Today, thanks to coordinated work, the situation is improving and we hope to achieve complete isolation within a short time.

In the territory of the Municipality of Shkodra, a fire is still active in the village of Ura e Shtrejt, high up in the mountain. The situation is being constantly monitored by forces on the ground.

The municipalities of Malësi e Madhe, Vau Dejës and Pukë are not currently reporting any problems./ CNA
