The Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all Albania, His Grace Joani, today received a delegation of the Russian Orthodox Church, led by His Grace Anthony, Metropolitan of Volokolamsk, Head of the Department for External Relations of the Russian Church.
The delegation also included Protopresbyter Nikolaj Balashov and Protopresbyter Igor Yakimchuk.
On behalf of the Church of Albania, Metropolitan of Elbasan Andoni, Metropolitan of Amantia Nathanaili, and Bishop of Kruja Anastasi were present.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on inter-Orthodox relations, as well as on various topics related to the witness of Orthodoxy in today's world.
Special emphasis was placed on the major issue of peace in Ukraine, emphasizing the need for prayer, dialogue and continued efforts to achieve it. /CNA
