The Tirana Court was clear in its order issued today regarding the "Focus Media" media group, emphasizing that a clear dividing line must be established between contractual disputes between the parties and respect for freedom of expression.

The decision was made by Judge Alma Kodraliu.

The details are learned from a decision to secure a lawsuit available to BIRN.

"In this regard, the court considers the interference and restriction of journalists and their rights disproportionate to the situation that followed this restriction and the need to intervene," the decision emphasizes.

The court's only concern was the confiscation of the journalists' work tools and personal belongings, computers and other equipment, which, according to the decision published today by CNA from documents of the 'KAYO' company, have been sent to state reserves, have been recorded in a report and have not been violated at all.

Based on the court's decision, the return of confiscated items and work tools belonging to the journalists is simply ordered.

The decision does not give businessman Irfan Hysenbelliu any right to suspend the decision to vacate the buildings, but only qualifies the failure to collect the items from "KAYO", which was later found to be a legal action./CNA
