Monsignor Joani, Metropolitan of Korça and Voskopoja, has conveyed important messages after the Flag Mass held in the southeast of the country. In his speech, Monsignor Joani appealed for more love for the country where we were born and raised, while he said that good words without actions are like a tree without fruit.

"Doxology has 2 main elements, there is thanksgiving and commitment. Thanks to God, for the country he has given us, he has given us a beautiful country that has everything, there are fields, hills, forests, rivers, lakes. Thanking does not end with just saying words but with deeds. This is also the second element of commitment. Each one of us, if he loves God, will undoubtedly love the country where he was born and raised, he will also love his people. A true citizen is the person who makes his country flourish, not the one who only says nice words. Beautiful words without actions are like a tree without fruit, and the true fruit of love is always action. So let's make our country flourish and let's try and God will bless this country and bless us" - said Monsignor Joani, Metropolitan of Korça and Voskopoja.

Today, the whole of Albania and Albanians celebrate the 111th anniversary of Independence and a series of activities have been organized in the country.

Earlier in Tirana, the Parade of Albanians was held where more than 150 delegations of Albanians from the diaspora and the country gathered and paraded on the boulevard "Dë?morët e Kombit".

Even the Albanian politicians have conveyed today their messages for the Independence Day as they participated in the official ceremony of placing flowers on the grave of Ismail Qemali.
