National opposition protest today/ Police publish plan of measures

The opposition will hold its next national protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office this afternoon. In this regard, the police have published a plan of measures for the smooth conduct of the protest, which will start at 6:00 PM. It is announced that there will be restrictions on movement on several road axes.

From 09:30 until the end of the rally, vehicle movement will be blocked on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard, from the Bridge to the intersection with "Ismail Qemali" Street.

Meanwhile, from 3:00 PM until the end of the rally, "Free Ukraine", "Papa John Paul II" and "Ismail Qemali" streets will be blocked.

Based on and in implementation of the law "On Gatherings", Tirana Police has taken all necessary measures to guarantee public order at the rally that will take place today, at 6:00 PM, in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

In this context, there will be movement restrictions on several road axes. Specifically:

-From 09:30 until the end of the rally, vehicle movement will be blocked on the “Dëshmorët e Kombit” boulevard, from the Bridge to the intersection with “Ismail Qemali” street;

-From 3:00 PM until the end of the rally, "Free Ukraine", "Pope John Paul II" and "Ismail Qemali" streets will be blocked.

Depending on the development of the rally, there may be restrictions on vehicle traffic on other road axes. In case of blockage, to assist citizens who will circulate on these axes, Tirana Police has taken measures to divert vehicle traffic to alternative routes.

Tirana Police asks for citizens' understanding regarding the restriction of vehicle movement, and appeals to distance themselves if they encounter illegal actions that violate public order and safety. / CNA
