The economy expert, Arben Shkodra, has commented on the incinerator scandal, stating that if the allegations are proven, this would be a blow to the economy. For the "Informative Radar" show, that it is an unpleasant situation and the investigations must bring out the truth. "Obviously, this is an unpleasant situation for our economy, but we have to wait for what the investigation will reveal. Only then will we see how the whole situation is, and analyze why these phenomena occur. In our economy, we have had a complicated economic system for 30 years, we have made changes in the fiscal system, where we can also find pockets where speculators have made illegal moves", said Shkodra.
Regarding the question of how it is possible that with the control system we have, complete sales invoices circulate, and it does not catch the eye of anyone, Shkodra stated that the system itself favors them.
"There is a great paradox, the more we ease the procedures of doing business, the more it opens the way for illegalities. We are currently digitizing, submitting only copies to the system, whereas you used to have to submit original documents to the system. The more we digitize, the more we forget that some processes are not so simple to implement. Even more so when we have two elderly people living in an asylum and their signatures are taken, here they ask what went wrong, I say that there is a need for a major verification," he said. /CNA.al
