Residents of the house adjacent to the industrial area where the tragedy occurred in Lushnja have confessed the horror of facing the explosion that left two dead and seven injured.

One of them has expressed to the media with tears in his eyes that he took the road from Greece immediately home because he was worried that there was no news about his family since the internet lines were cut.

He said that the damage to his apartment is significant. 

"I was in Greece and I got the news from the side of the family that something unexpected had happened in my family. I was forced and came urgently. Thank God my family is fine. When I came here I saw that the damage was considerable. As you can see for yourself, I I'm not an expert. My sister gave me the first news. She was here, she informed me. The internet was cut off, I had no contact with my family. When I came here, it's good that I found people outside. Glass everywhere, bars thrown as here and there. It's good that people weren't outside. Undoubtedly, with the condition of the house, people could have been killed," he said. 

It was 3:30 p.m. on March 1 when the crane came into contact with the 110 kv high voltage line that passed over the warehouse, the explosion took place, killing the father and son while injuring 7 others, including the Socialist MP Bujar Çela, who is also the owner of the warehouse.

It is learned that an investigative group from the Fier Prosecutor's Office, the State Technical and Industrial Inspectorate, the Anti-Explosive Unit, Lushnja Police and OShEE engineers are at the scene to clarify the causes./ CNA
