As of 2:00 PM this Friday, a court hearing is taking place at the Administrative Court, where the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has sued SPAK prosecutor Ols Dado.

It is learned that the representative from the High Prosecutorial Council was absent from the session, which was also commented on by Veliaj.

"We do not have a response from the KLP, it is more of an investor in the dark than in the light, the KLP has never met for our complaint, I think it is better in absentia," said Veliaj.

In the absence of the KLP, the prosecutor's lawyer Ols Dado has requested that the trial continue, as the claims have already been submitted.

On the other hand, the mayor's lawyer, Plarent Ndreca, has requested the "opening" of the courtroom, referring to the presence of the police.

"The session is public. What does a State Police officer want in this courtroom, what does the chief secretary of the court want who decides whether or not to allow cameras. The hermetic closure of a court, referring to the Constitution, this process should be in the public eye. This is unacceptable, honorable judge. There is an instruction from the Supreme Court of Justice, which you use as a legal basis", - Ndreca is reported to have said. /CNA
