Opposition protest, 15 arrested released

The Tirana court has released 15 protesters arrested during the opposition protest on March 22. The court has imposed the security measure of mandatory appearance.

The opposition protest was accompanied by tensions and clashes between protesters and police forces, leading to the escorting and arrest of several people.

A total of 23 people were escorted, including 4 minors, who were released after verification. Meanwhile, 15 other people were arrested by the police.

From the start of the protest, incidents were recorded, with protesters throwing Molotov cocktails and fireworks at institutions, while the police responded with tear gas and pepper spray to disperse the crowd.

During the protest, there were no shortage of physical clashes between citizens and police. At one point of tension, even Democratic Party MPs, Luciano Boçi, Flamur Noka and Xhelal Mziu, got involved in arguments with the police, making accusations against them./ CNA
