"I made the plan for TNT together with Laert Haxhiu" / Artan

Associate Justice Artan Tafani continued his testimony at the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime regarding Laert Haxhiu's criminal group.

Tafani said that he had heard about Haxhiu on the news and then they met in Dajt.

"I had only heard about Laerti through the news. We met in Dajt at a restaurant, where Laerti took me out to talk. That night we stayed there in Dajt. I was scared, because I said why they took me, when I saw Laerti Haxhiu. He told me 'we will do some work, I will help with some goods'. It seems to me that he knew that I was short of money. The next day Laerti and Ligori left for Korça, I met with Klajdi and Lulzim and we left for Lushnja. On the way, they gave me 500 euros, and another 500 were given to me after 2-3 days", said Tafani.

Tafani said that in another meeting he was told to place a TNT bomb in Lushnje and he acted as planned.

"In another meeting, they told me to place a TNT bomb in Lushnja, after they had given goods to someone and he had not paid for it. The TNT would be a form of pressure. I accepted. From the first day I met them, there was a kind of pressure on me, I didn't know how to explain it to them. On the way, Laerti gave me 100 euros for fuel expenses. I had left the car at the entrance to Elbasan. We left for Lushnja with the TNT bomb, I had also made a plan," said Tafani.

Tafani added that he had made the plan for TNT together with Haxhiu.

"It seemed to me that this was proof that they were going to see if I was working or not. I lit the fuse and left. I placed it on the door of the apartment, it was on the first floor of a building. I was on foot, I crossed the train tracks. I had made the plan with Laertes," said Tafani./CNA
