Sentenced to 4 years in prison by the Criminal Court of Kosovo/ Most wanted

A highly wanted and socially dangerous person has been arrested by the police in Saranda. Citizen EK (Ç.), 34 years old, suspected of being a member of a highly dangerous criminal group in the city of Elbasan, has been arrested.

According to police information, at the moment of the intervention, the 34-year-old attempted to leave, but was neutralized and arrested by the Police services.

He was declared wanted after the Criminal Court sentenced him to 4 years in prison for the criminal offenses "Structured criminal group" and "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder."

It is reported that the 34-year-old has 2 years, 9 months and 9 days left to serve in prison.

The police operation codenamed "Fast" is being finalized to capture a highly wanted and socially dangerous person.

The operation was carried out by the Saranda Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Directorate of the Special Operational Force at the State Police.

Following the intensive investigative and operational work to locate and capture the wanted persons, based on the information obtained and the use of special investigation methods, within the framework of the police operation codenamed "Fast", it was possible to locate in the center of Ksamil, in an "Audi" type vehicle, the capture and arrest of citizen EK (Ç.), 34 years old, resident of Elbasan, suspected of being a member of a high-risk criminal group in the city of Elbasan.

At the moment of the intervention, this citizen attempted to leave, but was neutralized and arrested by the Police services.

This citizen was declared wanted after the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime upheld the decision of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, which sentenced him to 4 years in prison for the criminal offenses "Structured criminal group" and "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder", while he has 2 years, 9 months and 9 days of imprisonment left to serve.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
