Clashes at the Royal Palace / Tirana Court Sentences Prince Leka

The Tirana Court published the decisions regarding the clash at the Royal Palace in March 2024. The court has imposed an eight-month prison sentence on Prince Leka Zogu for the criminal offense of "Domestic Violence".

This sentence will be converted into 16 months of probation. Meanwhile, in this process, the Tirana Court declared Elia Zaharian innocent as he has not committed any criminal offense.

As for Elias' father, also involved in this incident, the Court imposed a sentence of 10 months, while with a shortened sentence this sentence is reduced to six months and 20 days.

However, the Court also decided to suspend the sentence and translate it into one year and 40 days of probation. /CNA
