Teachers cannot buy any scientific publications/ On October 17, they announce a

Ardian Isufi, lecturer, says that lecturers demand a 30 and 20 percent salary increase, comparable to countries in the region.

In the "Goodmorning Albanians" show, he said that no concrete answer was received from the Minister of Education from the meetings held, which has increased the awareness of pedagogues throughout Albania.

According to Isufi, lecturers are in the conditions where with the salary they receive they cannot buy any scientific publication, which they need for scientific research. He announced a complete boycott of teaching by lecturers on October 17.

"Of the old 700 million lek, which were for scientific research, 300 million were used by the government, which does not help scientific research or the quality of teaching. Today, the teacher's model has fallen because the salary is small, which prevents the teacher from buying a scientific publication. A scientific research is not only for the individual, but for the university", said the lecturer.
