Ilir Meta and Sali Berisha

Deputy of the Socialist Party, Arben Pëllumbi, has commented on the Berisha-Meta alliance in the local elections of 2023.

Invited to the show "Debat" on A2cnn, Pëllumbi was asked how the race will change now that Berisha and Meta are facing each other.

 "No race is like the other, regardless of the actors. I am sorry that the former President of the country (Ilir Meta) continues to use a language that does not suit the political figure he represents. Albanian politics today must be mature, with strategies and programs to approach the electorate. We are preparing for the campaign ahead of us, we are at an advanced stage and we are working with high intensity. There will also be a meeting of the prime minister with the mayors, to see how the processes that have been started are progressing. We do not discuss or give opinions about what happens with the other arm. Of course, we observe and draw our own conclusions on how to adapt our scheme", said Pëllumbi./ CNA.al
