OSHEE, measures for the tourist season/ Zhuka: No tolerance for energy abusers

Within the framework of the tourist season, OSHEE has taken all measures for full electricity supply, both in coastal areas and in the Alps.

OSHEE teams are on the ground to make it possible to repair any possible breakdown. Meanwhile, high temperatures have also affected the occurrence of fires, which have caused several problems in the Lezha and Puka areas.

"I want to announce the measures that OSHEE has taken for this summer tourist season, where so far we have not had any irreparable breakdowns. The specialists are all on the ground. We have had vicissitudes due to fires, which are often considered intentional and penalize the rest of the area. This has happened in the areas of Lezha, Puka and Fushë-Arrezi. However, we have intervened and restored normality. As for the working groups, they are on the ground, managing to repair every breakdown. We have stationed working groups in Velipoje, Shëngjin and Malësia. Some of the lines have been regenerated. We have no defects on the lines, except those caused by natural conditions," said Armand Zhuka, Director of OSHEE, Northern Region.

Regarding the problems with electricity outages in the city, Zhuka emphasizes that the cause is atmospheric conditions, while warning of zero tolerance for those who abuse electricity.

"There may be sporadic disconnections because there may be small defects and we disconnect them until we repair them. The storm the day before had a breakdown, but now everything is fine. There will be investments in the north. And on this occasion I would appeal for correctness in invoices. Any finding that we encounter of theft, we will denounce and face the law," said Zhuka.

Although the phenomenon of abuse of electricity has decreased, it still continues to be present as Director Zhuka calls on every citizen to face the law in case of violation. /CNA
