Long lines of vehicles, slow traffic and hours at the wheel. The Gramsh - Moglice - Lozhan - Maliq axis is facing a difficult situation, becoming a test of patience for hundreds of drivers every day.
The high traffic flow and the deteriorated condition of the road, especially in the Lozhani segment, where the road is narrow and damaged, have led to significant delays.
Up to 5 hours of travel to cover a segment that under normal conditions would take much less.
In addition to lost time, citizens face fatigue, traffic hazards, and a lack of alternatives to avoid this problematic segment.

A married couple from Durrës says their journey has been long and tiring. The woman says they left Durrës at 5:30 PM and arrived in Prrenjas at midnight, and today they were forced to take this road again. According to her, the return journey is expected to take another 4 to 5 hours, while the situation becomes even more difficult for families with children or the elderly.
"We left yesterday at 17:30 from Durrës and arrived in Prrenjas, at 12 noon we arrived on this same road (Gramsh-Moglicë-Lozhan). We are forced to leave again because the bridge is collapsing, we don't know if it has collapsed. The Gramsh and Maliq road is very difficult, for me, who had to go in case of death, I couldn't go last night. I got hit by a car and I felt "dead" to myself and I barely recovered from going this morning. I believe the return road will take 4-5 hours because it is winding. The situation is very difficult because there are also families with small children, or even with the elderly, it's a shame... but I hope it gets better," the citizen said.
Her husband also points out that the road is busy. According to him, traffic is one-way in some parts and there are collapses and narrowings that make the journey extremely difficult.
"The road is very difficult because it is a busy situation, they go in one direction and it is a bit of a problem. Too difficult, blocked, with collapses, in a word, it has its own difficulties. We hope it will be done well," the citizen said.

Another driver, who had come from Greece for a wedding in Elbasan, said he was forced to turn back from this road. According to him, the section is narrow, with many curves and requires maximum care. From Gramsh to Maliq, the journey took about 4 hours.
"We came from Greece, we were at a wedding in Elbasan. We had to turn back from Gramshi. It's a difficult road, you need to be very careful. There are many turns and it's very narrow. It took almost 4 hours from Gramshi," the driver stated.
Meanwhile, a public transport driver says he has been on the road for more than four and a half hours. He says the lack of alternatives forces them to face this situation every day.
"I left at 11:45, it's now 4:15 p.m., almost 4 and a half hours of travel. We were exhausted, our arms were stretched wide open. It couldn't get any worse than that. We have nothing to do, unfortunately we have no other alternative. If only we had another alternative...", said the public transport driver.

For drivers, the Gramsh - Moglicë - Lozhan - Maliq axis has become a source of stress, fatigue and danger. Journeys lasting over 4 or 5 hours, narrow and worn-out segments, high vehicle flow and lack of alternatives are the reality that citizens face.
They demand concrete interventions and long-term solutions, so that this important junction is no longer an obstacle, but a facility for movement and development of the area. Until then, every trip on this axis remains a challenge that requires maximum patience and care./ CNA
