The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, has reacted through a post on social networks to racist chants against the footballers and staff of KF Bashkimi 1947 in a match held yesterday in the North Macedonian championship.

Balla condemned the insults and said that the punishments from the Football Federation of North Macedonia should be as severe as the calls against Albanians. Among other things, he added that it would be an unforgivable mistake if North Macedonia turned a blind eye to this event.

As a football fan, but also as a member of the Albanian Parliament, I express my deep concern about the incidents and strongly condemn the nationalist and racist insults against the players and staff of KF Bashkimi 1947 in a match held yesterday in the North Macedonian championship.

The calls against Albanians were very serious and the measures and punishments taken by the Football Federation in the neighboring country should be equally serious.

If European and world football this week stood in solidarity with Real Madrid player Vinicius, the same should happen to the boys of the team and staff of KF Bashkimi 1947 in North Macedonia. It would be an unforgivable mistake if North Macedonia turned a blind eye to this event!
