The General Director of Customs Genti Gazheli has reacted after the attacks that Irfan Hysenbelliu made through his media.

In a post on the Facebook social network, Gazheli writes that Hysenbelli's business has been fined for tax evasion in accordance with the laws in force and that, according to him, an immediate attack has been launched after this decision.

The Head of Customs underlines that despite the media offensive against him, he will continue to perform his duty with full responsibility without being influenced.

" I want to share with the public and stakeholders served by the Albanian customs, that the attack on me by a certain media comes immediately after a business owned by the media in question has been fined for tax evasion.

Maybe this is a coincidence, but this attack on an allegedly problematic issue of 2016 and on people who have been working in the Albanian customs for many years, targets my person without any facts or evidence. Meanwhile, regarding the case itself, we do not have any official letter related to any investigation abroad or inside the country.

Blackmail and media fines sponsored by vested interests in fiscal law enforcement are routine for me.

I work for the state and no one can shake me in the performance of my duty. ", writes Gazheli./ CNA.al
